Presented by: Douglas M. White, PT, DPT, OCS
You frequently whish you could look under your patient’s skin to see what is really going on. You've heard the buzz about sonography in physical therapist practice. Now find out what is all about.
·         Did you know US is as accurate as MRI for diagnosing rotator cuff tears?
·         Did you know that you can image dynamic rotator cuff impingement?
·         Is that infra-patella fat pad thickening benign or edematous?
·         Is that hamstring tear really fully healed or is there still some intra-muscular edema and inflammation?
·         Is that peroneal tendon partially torn or is it tendonitis/tendonosis?
·         How can I obtain an affordable US unit?
·         Where can I get more training?
Come find out the answers to these questions and more.

Introduction to the Mulligan Concept

INTRODUCTION TO THE MULLIGAN CONCEPT
APTA of MA Member Fee: $349
Non-Member Fee: $438

Course Description:
This is the first course in the sequence of four courses leading to qualifications as a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP). This two day manual therapy seminar offers a new and simple approach in manual therapy. It is the application of mobilizations with movements (MWMs). This manual therapy approach has been developed by Brian R. Mulligan, M.N.Z.S.P., Dip. M.T., for extremity and spinal joint dysfunction.

This is an innovative approach in the field of physical therapy and all therapists dealing with musculoskeletal disorders should become acquainted with it. The efficacy of this approach can be quickly and easily ascertained in clinic. MWM skills will be learned and it is an expectation of this course that those therapists with normal caseload will find an immediate improvement in outcome measures with patients with restricted and/or painful movement.

Foot and ankle pathology is common in physical therapy practice.  Overuse injuries are often a result of abnormal foot mechanics or due to imbalances higher in the kinetic chain.  This lecture is designed to demonstrate how abnormal foot mechanics contribute to many of the lower extremity problems we treat every day.  Through lecture and discussion of case studies utilizing video gait analysis, participants will improve their understanding of abnormal gait as it relates to an orthopedic population.
